Warmly welcomed, Fitra conveyed the Socialization of the Program in Koto Tandun Village

June 4, 2023
in Research and Advocacy

FR. The Indonesian Forum for Budget Transparency (FITRA) Riau, held socialization, encouraging Optimization of the Utilization of Oil and Gas Profit Sharing Funds and Increasing CSR Social Accountability for poverty alleviation. This socialization was carried out in the village of Koto Tandun, Rokan Hulu Regency. On Friday, March 10, 2023

This socialization activity was attended by 18 participants, namely the village head and all Village Officials, Rukun Tetangga (RT), Rukun Warga (RW), village community leaders, as well as women’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) groups assisted by the SPR Company. Block oil and gas.

In this socialization, Taufik explained related to the program of activities that will be carried out for the next 15 months. This program will involve the village government, the community, especially women’s groups which will be formed and developed. Later this program, apart from assisting women’s groups, will also assist village officials in assisting village SDGs-based village planning, and how to make villages good in decision-making involvement involving community forums including managing village transparency and accountability.

As said by the head of the village regarding the characteristics of the village, this village has oil wells and currently the oil wells are managed by a regionally owned company (BUMD) under the auspices of the lagak block which is operated directly by the SPR company.

Regarding access to services, we think that at this time we really need the role of the company to help the village, he admitted that the SPR company itself often helps us, but the basis is only submitting proposals, for example yesterday he said, the SPR company had provided capital to women’s groups in supporting the creativity of stick management. palm oil and MSME products including helping to set up women’s business outlets in this village . Said Muhammad Tohsin, Head of Koto Tandun Village.

He continued, when it comes to service access facilities. we all have one, our high school exists and is currently located in the SPR company area, our junior high school also exists, including we have an elementary school in every hamlet. But because the condition of this village area is right close to the sub-district and the access is not too far from the provincial highway to Rokan Hulu, the road access is very good. On the other hand, if the goal is to help us, we are very grateful and once again we say this is a big gift for our village for the presence of FITRA Riau, which opened our minds how very important DBH Migas is for progress in the village of Koto Tandun, especially , the arrival of FITRA Riau will be a bridge for the DBH Migas policy and the progress of women’s groups in Koto Tandun Village.

So we hope that later the women’s group that will be fostered can become independent in terms of supporting the economy in the village of Koto Tandun, concluded the village head who was only appointed for one month.
