FR. As an oil and gas producing village, Fitra Riau held a socialization to encourage Optimization of the use of Oil and Gas Revenue Sharing Funds and increased Social Accountability (CSR) in Teluk Sono Village, Bonai Darusalam District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Tuesday, (07/03/2023)
This activity was attended by the Village Head and Village apparatus, the Village Consultative Body (BPD) and also Community Leaders. Fitra Riau explained that it is related to the goals and objectives that will be achieved in the program that is being carried out for approximately the next 15 months.
Taufik in his speech stated that this program has a target direction, namely assistance in the Regional Government and strengthening in the Village Government and community groups, especially women’s groups. If you look at it from observations based on the condition of the village in Teluk Sono, road access infrastructure facilities are still in a condition that can be said to be not good.
“Earlier we headed to this village to see how the condition of the road was, that access to the village still had to pass through the Company’s HGU area, and for the public road to this village it could also be said to be in bad condition, we had to cross a Pounton boat, it didn’t have a bridge and no nets. with holes, of course, if it rains, you might not be able to get through because of the mud with yellow soil,” said Taufik
This was confirmed by the village secretary, that the current road conditions were their joy. it’s not only roads that are of concern to the community, but from an education standpoint it’s also a problem where the condition of the available schools is also in very poor condition, both in terms of infrastructure and teaching staff, there are many honorary staff compared to civil servants. Currently, the condition of school infrastructure which is in good condition is still an elementary school which is located across from Dusun Tiga and must use a pontoon. for the junior high school level they still have 1 school while there is no senior high school in Teluk Sono village, they have to go to the Pasir Pengaraian area, Ujung Batu and Kandis subdistrict, in Siak there. Of course, this makes the high school dropout rate very high also in Teluk Sono village. Apart from that, in terms of health, the maternal mortality rate is very high because the access to the hospital is very far away and in the village there is only one health worker so mothers who give birth use more non-medical personnel for delivery assistance.
Taufik again explained that the focus of implementing this program was how to raise the potential of existing villages, and fitra together with the LPESM institution would provide assistance, both assistance to the community especially women’s groups and also strengthening village apparatus. We do this because we see that the potential for this village in Teluk Sono is very good, it has five large companies and has 3 active wells. So that this can encourage how this village can get out of inequality like what was explained by the village secretary earlier.
He continued again, for the village government we will collaborate for the village itself, we will carry out a mentoring process for village apparatus in understanding village SDGs-based planning, strengthening apparatus in terms of village budget allocation and assisting residents in participating in village participation. As for the women’s group, we will provide assistance and strengthen the economy in the field of MSMEs, starting from increasing capacity and also training on how to distribute it.
Meanwhile, the Village Secretary (SEKDES) expressed his gratitude for choosing Teluk Sono village as one of the assisted villages.
“Thank you, Mr. Taufik, Ms. Mega, for coming to our village. You can see the situation, it is still very little paid attention to, and FITRA Riau is the only one who came with good programs for our village, especially for women. Our village is surrounded by companies, sir, but until now, there hasn’t been any CSR funds coming in for the village budget. We’ve tried hearings but there’s no response whatsoever. for our small village
In addition, community leaders hope that in our village this is something that is rarely paid attention to, especially women who have to steal other people’s palm kernels to make ends meet. I hope that later with this program, we can help women in our village who actually have the skills make mats and mats from palm sticks, ask Ms. Mega’s assistance,” said Mr. Suanar, who is the elder of Teluk Sono customary
At this meeting the village head had full hopes for Fitra and left a message so that Fitra could help improve the condition of his village, especially related to assisting women’s groups and facilitating optimizing the use of DBH-Oil and Gas to the village. Regarding what needs are needed, we will help. Close village head, Tarmidi
