In this regard, the Bengkalis District Government strongly agrees and concurs with FITRA’s efforts to promote a strategy for extreme poverty alleviation in villages that are oil and gas producers. This was conveyed by the Head of the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), Rinto, during a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with FITRA Riau.
Present at the meeting, in addition to Bappeda, were: the Department of Social Affairs, the Department of Village Community Empowerment, the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency, the Department of Communication and Information, the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs, and the Regional Secretariat.
